Understanding The Science of Addiction

Participants will consider addictions and case examples from a variety of theoretical perspectives. Science-based approaches to addiction treatment and recovery will highlighted and explored. This course will examine addictions from biological, psychological, social and spiritual domains. Additionally, individual, family, and cultural perspectives will be explored. This course will emphasize familiarity with the current research in the addictions counseling field. The course is held 9a-4:30pm EST. You will be expected to be on camera, participate, and be available for all hours of the training. This course provides 6 CEU’s for all who complete the course. CEU’s are provided pursuant to Indiana Administrative Code 839IAC 1-6-2(F)(86): Social Workers Addiction Counselors Marriage & Family Therapist Mental Health Counselors Certified Recovery Support professionals (CAPRC, CARC, CHW/CRS, CCHW) This course provides education that meets the education requirements for all CADAC credentials through ICAADA
